Today, the bishop, the priest and the Christ’s faithful of Orlu Diocese gathered at the Cathedral to remember our heroes and officially conclude with their mourning period. We pray for God’s mercy on his priests, Msgr. Joseph Okorie and Fr. Donatus Nnagha for admittance into paradise and consolation on all who mourn their dead. We celebrate the Mass also for God’s grace on us that we may walk before him always and be holy. Msgr. JBC Okorie, was in the language of the homilist, a “Pastoral Bulldozer” being that he really Labored in the Lord’s vineyard in various capacities: Dean, Education etc. Fr. Donatus Nnagha, a renowned canonist was remembered. He was the Judicial Vicar of the Diocese for years.
As the gospel reminds us, there’s life after death. We all now have the responsibility of praying for them. We also will one day, join them. Meanwhile, let us strive daily unto perfection and be careful over a lot of things. Embrace what supports good health: rest, sleep, exercise, healthy diet, and proper medical checkups etc.
May the souls of Msgr. Joseph Okorie and Fr. Donatus Nnagha rest in peace, Amen.
