Office of the Bishop
Office of the Bishop
The Office of the Bishop is the center of pastoral leadership, unity, teaching, sanctification, and governance in the Catholic Diocese of Orlu. Rooted in Christ’s mandate to Peter, “Feed my sheep” (John 21:17), and in the apostolic mission entrusted to the Church (Matthew 28:19–20), the bishop serves as shepherd, teacher, and father to the people of God. The Church teaches in Lumen Gentium that bishops are successors of the apostles and visible sources of unity in their local Churches, while Christus Dominus describes the diocesan bishop as one who teaches, sanctifies, and governs the portion of God’s people entrusted to his care.
In the Diocese of Orlu, the bishop remains committed to listening to, accompanying, and serving the approximately 1.4 million Catholics of the Diocese, as well as numerous others entrusted to his pastoral care. Because of the many demands of this sacred responsibility, direct access to the bishop may be limited at times. However, the faithful and all who seek pastoral attention are encouraged to contact the Bishop’s Office through the Diocesan Catholic Secretariat.
