Catholic Women Organization (CWO)
The Catholic Women Organization (CWO) in the Diocese of Orlu is a vibrant fellowship of Catholic women dedicated to faith, family life, service, evangelization, and the spiritual and pastoral growth of the Church. Through prayer, charitable works, parish support, formation, and active participation in diocesan life, Catholic women help nurture the faith of families, strengthen parish communities, and witness to the Gospel in society. Their mission is deeply rooted in Scripture, where women such as Mary, the Mother of the Lord, Elizabeth, Mary Magdalene, Lydia, Priscilla, and many others played vital roles in the life and mission of God’s people.
The Church also recognizes the dignity, gifts, and apostolic responsibility of women, especially in Lumen Gentium, Apostolicam Actuositatem, and St. John Paul II’s Mulieris Dignitatem. In the Diocese of Orlu, the Catholic Women Organization is taken seriously because women are indispensable partners in evangelization, family formation, works of mercy, parish development, and the daily life of the Church. Their vibrant and active witness continues to sustain the Church’s mission and ministry across the diocese.
