Religious Houses in the Catholic Diocese of Orlu
Consecrated life is a precious gift to the Church. Through the witness of religious priests, brothers, and sisters, the Gospel is made visible in prayer, community life, education, healthcare, pastoral ministry, charity, and service to the poor. The Catholic Diocese of Orlu welcomes and supports vocations to religious life, recognizing that religious communities enrich the Diocese with their charisms and strengthen the mission of evangelization.
The Church teaches that consecrated life is “a gift of God the Father to his Church through the Holy Spirit” (Vita Consecrata, no. 1). The Second Vatican Council also calls religious communities to remain rooted in Christ, faithful to their founding charisms, and responsive to the needs of the Church and society (Perfectae Caritatis, no. 2). In this spirit, the Diocese encourages young men and women who feel called to religious life to discern generously and to respond with faith, courage, and love.
