Children Ministry
Ministry and Care for Children
In the Diocese of Orlu, the formation and protection of children are treated as a sacred trust and a serious pastoral responsibility. Through the Holy Childhood Association, the Block Rosary Crusade Movement, the Legion of Mary Junior Praesidium, and other approved parish and diocesan children’s apostolates, the Church seeks to protect, nurture, and guide children in the ways of the Lord. In doing so, the Diocese supports parents, who have the primary responsibility and right to educate their children in the faith, while ensuring that all ministries involving minors comply with diocesan Child & Youth Protection guidelines and policies, civil law, and the applicable norms of canon law. This mission is rooted in Christ’s love for children: “Let the little children come to me” (Mark 10:14), and in the biblical duty to teach children the way of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:6–7; Proverbs 22:6). The Diocese therefore takes children’s ministry seriously not only as catechesis, but also as protection, formation, evangelization, and care for the future of the Church.
